Founded in 2008, Beijing Contemporary Art Foundation (BCAF) is the only foundation and cultural think tank in China focusing on contemporary humanities and arts.

With our extensive public programs in three major fields including cultural innovation, art public welfare, and think tank research, BCAF enhances a civil society based on the concept of "Creative China”.

BCAF is dedicated to discovering cultural innovation, supporting new independent generation for international cultural exchange, and advancing the public welfare especially for children, women and minority.   Our notable and awarded projects include China Art Film Fund, China-EU Cultural Research Project, Creative China Festival, China Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, China Eco Design, China-France Cultural Forum, China-India Cultural Mapping Research, China-Japan Cultural Mapping Research, Chinese New Folk Craft, Chinese Arts and Design for Public Welfare Alliance, Fellowship for Chinese Young Talents, and International Artist Residency , Asia Art Festival etc.

Active in 18 countries, BCAF collaborated closely with a range of international artists and institutions, including David Lynch, Wim Wenders, Lee Changdong, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Gabriel de Broglie, Umberto Eco, Rem Koolhaas, Xu Bing, Liu Xiaodong, Song Dong, Zeng Fanzhi, Yu Hong, Gong Yan, Liu Wei, Cao Fei, Wang Bing, Diao Yinan, Zhang Lv, Yu Hua, Li Yiyun, Liang Hong, Zhai Yongming, Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the European Union Department of Education and Culture, WHO, UNESCO, UNDP, documenta, Venice Biennale, Venice Architecture Biennale, Cannes International Film Festival, Locarno international Film Festival, New York international Film Festival, High-Level People to People Dialogue (China-Europe; China-US; China-France) etc.
