Taking place across four cities, the festival included six sections which explored art and culture through film series, artist residencies and public art exhibitions, cultural forums, a design exhibition, live music performances, and a guest city program. With 29 collaborating institutions, over 100 participants and 56 events, CCF explored avenues for cultural innovation and established new meeting points for exchange between China and the United States, the East and West, the classical and contemporary, as well as between institutions and individuals at the grass roots level. In total, the festival had 230,000 visitors and related media reports attracted over 34 million views.
