Artist Residency in the U.S.

The Vermont Studio Center
Johnson, Vermont
Mission The Vermont Studio Center (VSC) was founded by artists in 1984. Our location—situated along the banks of the Gihon River in the historic village of Johnson, Vermont—was chosen with the intention of fostering creativity through community, collaboration, and quiet reflection supported by the unspoiled beauty of the northern Green Mountains.

Each month, VSC welcomes over 50 artists and writers from across the country and around the world to our historic campus in northern Vermont.

We make every effort to ensure an impartial and broadly inclusive admissions process: Our jurors change at every deadline, and applications are juried blind. Since our jurors' tastes and opinions vary widely across genre/medium/etc., there is no way to anticipate how your work will be received—just submit what you feel is your strongest work.
