Artist Residency in the U.S.

Established in New York City in 1977, UrbanGlass fosters experimentation and advances the use and critical understanding of glass as a creative medium.

Overview UrbanGlass 2020 Studio Residencies will provide 4 artists working in glass with the opportunity to create a new body of work in our studio. Residents must be able to work independently in glass.
The following are not eligible to apply:
1. Current UrbanGlass employees.
2. Current UrbanGlass board members.
3. Artists who have received a grant from UrbanGlass in the last two years.
All residencies must be completed during 2020, and artists will give a public presentation at the end of their project.

Facilities and Grants
Residents must be able to work independently in glass and will receive $4,000 in credit to utilize UrbanGlass’ 17,000-square-foot studio and education program. In addition, each artist will give a public talk at UrbanGlass about their work. Please note this fellowship does not include materials, assistants, or room and board/travel.
