After a first edition in New York in 2023 at Carnegie Hall, the “Youth + Music Festival" will take place in Paris on November 16, 2024, for an exceptional evening of INDIE/Electro/Rock music in the prestigious theater of La Maison de la Mutualité!
In celebration of the Year of China-France Year of Culture and Tourism, Beijing Contemporary Art Foundation(BCAF), in partnership with the WhyArt agency, Creative China Center and the GL Events group, will welcome four legendary Chinese and French music icons to Paris for a unique evening on Boulevard Saint Germain!

With three globally released rock albums that have garnered acclaim from fans and industry alike, Re-TROS has achieved unprecedented recognition in Western mainstream music markets. The core members: Hua Dong, Liu Min, and Huang Jin, are celebrated for their distinctive aesthetic style and creative energy.
INNOUT An Yu, Xiao Jun|Highly experimental electronic jazz
INNOUT is an innovative project founded by young guitarist and composer Xiao Jun, along with jazz drummer An Yu. Each improvisational performance is a rebirth of musical exploration. In 2023, they participated in the 'China-U.S. Youth Music Festival' at Carnegie Hall in New York, where they received enthusiastic acclaim from international audiences."

A six-hour immersive experience of music and visual performances, blending rock, electronic, experimental, improvisational jazz, and indie music. Chinese and French artists will showcase their unique soundscapes and visual creations, celebrating cultural fusion.

Initiated by the Beijing Contemporary Art Foundation (BCAF), the "China-France Youth+ Music Festival" provides an open platform for avant-garde musicians of the new generation, fostering intercultural dialogue. In 2023, BCAF successfully held the "ChinaU.S. Youth+ Music Festival" at Carnegie Hall in New York, garnering praise from American Academy of Arts and Sciences members and international media alike. Unique Venue
Maison de la Mutualité, Paris's first avant-garde theater from the 1920s, will reopen to the public as the festival stage. Reimagined by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, the venue will host over a thousand attendees. This elegant venue will serve as a bridge for musical and cultural exchanges between Chinese and French youth.

1. What is the mission of the Beijing Contemporary Art Foundation (BCAF)?
As a public, non-profit foundation established in 2008, BCAF is committed to discovering cultural innovation, advancing art philanthropy, and fostering international exchange. The foundation’s mission is to provide equitable access to culture and the arts, building a diverse, human-centered society. With a focus on innovative exchange and reciprocal collaboration, BCAF aims to create a new platform for youth-led cultural exchanges. In 2014, with support from the Chinese Ministry of Culture, BCAF organized the "China-France Cultural Summit" at the Quai Branly Museum in Paris, partnering with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the French Academy, the Louvre Museum, and ARTE TV, bringing together thinkers and practitioners from both countries for new insights in culture and art.

4. What are the future prospects for the festival?
BCAF eagerly welcomes collaboration and exchanges with French institutions. BCAF, in partnership with France’s highly professional institutions, aims to invite French musicians for tours, residencies, creations, and productions across China, including projects in rural areas for children’s music and aesthetic education
